Thiruvananthapuram Airport on high alert after bomb threat email

Thiruvananthapuram International Airport received a bomb threat via email on Sunday, prompting the immediate deployment of bomb disposal squads and thorough security checks across all terminals. The airport’s Public Relations Officer confirmed that security forces swiftly responded to the threat, conducting intensive searches inside and outside the terminals. No suspicious objects have been found so far, but security remains tight.

This threat comes just a day after several hotels in the state capital, including the Hilton Hotel, received similar bomb threat emails. Police teams, including bomb disposal units and dog squads, conducted extensive searches in these hotels on Saturday but found no explosives, declaring the threats fake.
