The High Court, while hearing the matter, uncovered damning evidence indicating that police personnel forcibly took 18-year-old Sohan, a Class 12 student from Malhargarh, off a moving bus on August 29. Despite having no criminal links, he was later produced as a “major narcotics arrest.”

According to investigators, the police falsely claimed to have seized 2.7 kg of opium from Sohan and presented him in court the following day, leading to his judicial custody. The revelation prompted the Mandsaur Superintendent of Police to appear before the High Court and acknowledge that the case had indeed been fabricated.
