This could prove a major setback to Atanasio (Babush) Monserrate, the uncrowned King of CCP, as ten of the reserved seats are currently held by his councillors. The 16 wards have been reserved for women, other backward class (OBC) and schedule tribe (ST). Just six of the 14 wards that BJP currently holds have been reserved.
As per the notification, of the 16 wards, seven have been reserved for women (general), three for OBC women, five for OBC and one for ST.
