PONDA: Ponda Police booked 17 persons for trespass and for destroying property at Veling Priol, Cuncoliem.
It may be recalled that Veling Priol Cucoloiem panchas with the support of the locals, on Tuesday, cleared the hotmixed roads and broke the gate at Mangueshi, claiming that the mega project work was illegal and was carried out without the panchayat’s permission.
In his complaint to the Ponda Police, Hitendra Janardhan Shinkre of Panditwada-Ponda stated that on May 3, the accused — Somnath Vasant Gaude, Naresh G Gaude, Kashinath Gaude, Vishwanath Vasant Gaude, Sanju V Gaude, Raju Datta Mangeshkar, Damodar G Naik, Prashant Naik, Satyawan K Gaude, Subhash K Gaude, Krishna H Gaude, Dyaneshwar G Gaude, Shrikanth P Gaude, Mangesh P Gaude, Bholu B Gaude, Gautam G Gaude and Varad Ulhas Mardolkar, along with 15 other associates, all residents Mangueshi, formed an unlawful assembly and criminally trespassed into his “Amor” or “Amor Fondi’ property in Cuncolien.
They demolished RCC pillars iron rods and cleared the 300-metre hotmixed road with the help of JCB machine causing loss of Rs 4,50,000, Shinkre further stated in his complaint.
Ponda Police are conducting further investigations.
