18 hurt in Sattari bus mishap

VALPOI: Eighteen passengers were injured when the bus in which they were travelling turned turtle at Kumtol-Sattari late Saturday evening.

VALPOI: Eighteen passengers were injured when the bus in which they were travelling turned turtle at Kumtol-Sattari late Saturday evening.
According to Valpoi Police, the accident occurred at about 7 pm when the mini bus (GA-08-T-4345) was proceeding from Kumtal to Karanzol-Sattari.
Police further informed that all the 18 injured passengers were rushed to Community Health Centre Valpoi by 108 ambulance service. The two injured passengers were referred to GMC Hospital in Bambolim, while the other 16 passengers were discharged after medical treatment late Saturday night.
Sources informed that the bus driver lost the control of the bus before hitting a parked motorcycle at Kumtol. Valpoi Police is investigating the case.
Sources further informed that two 108 ambulances, one from Honda and Valpoi, rushed to the accident site.
