PONDA: The Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) on Monday felicitated 19 freedom fighters who fought for the liberation of the State as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ being held to celebrate 75 years of the country’s independence.
Those felicitated included Govind P Chimulkar, Dharmanand Verenkar, Anand Shetye, late Ramdas Shetye, late Audumber Shinkre, late Janardan Shinkre, late Vainkut Shinkre, late Chandrakant Kenkre, late Keshav Narayan Bethkikar, late Nagesh B Naik, late Pandurang R Cuncolekar, late Pundalik Gadi Amonkar, late Pandurang Barve, late Tukaram Shet Parkar, late Pandurang Kanekar, late Shreedhar Verenkar.
