MARGAO: 199 police personnel kept strict vigil on sensitive installations in South Goa from 8 am on Tuesday thanks to the Sea Vigil exercise conducted for the first time all over the country in association with the Indian Navy.
SP South Arvind Gawas disclosed that besides the personnel deployed to various places, 35 police control vehicles and 16 motorcycles were patrolling the district to keep vigil.
“We had set up 15 nakabandi points besides keeping two quick response teams ready,” he said.
