PANIIM: With 218 new cases reported, the COVID positivity rate continued to remain under 8.5 per cent, dropping down to 8.15 per cent, on Monday.

2,676 samples were tested in the last 24 hours of Monday evening.
There were 413 recoveries during that period and the recovery rate is now at 96.32 per cent.

The total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic has almost touched 3000, climbing up to 2977 on Monday. The total number of active cases has however dropped down to 3066.
Primary Health Centre (PHC) Ponda with 247 active cases is the health centre with the highest number of active cases, whereas, Urban Health Centre (UHC) Margao (179 and UCH Panjim (172) are the only other two health centres with above 150 active cases.
