Calangute Police arrested a 25-year-old man after allegedly seizing 1,060 grams of suspected ganja worth around Rs 1 lakh near the Helipad at Aguada, Sinquerim, on July 4. According to police, the accused, identified as Rahul, a resident of Nagoa, Bardez, originally from Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh, was found carrying the contraband during a search conducted between 8.30 pm and 9 pm. A case has been registered under Section 20(b)(ii)(B) of the NDPS Act, 1985. Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Vighnesh Naik of Calangute Police Station.
