The Colva police have arrested three persons, all natives of Bengal for assaulting a resident of Varca on Sunday evening.
Colva police station incharge, PI Edwin Colaco said the three accused Rabindranath, Uttam Burman and Sagar Munda were arrested for assaulting one Markso Fernandes with a piece of wood.
The trio were working in a carpentry workshop at Varca manufacturing wooden boxes for loudspeakers. PI Colaco said the incident occurred over an argument between the trio and the victim after the accused persons switched off the TV where they were putting up.
Further investigations are on.
