3 rounds of counting in South Goa

MARGAO: South Goa District Electoral Officer Swapnil Naik said that counting of the South District constituencies will take place in three rounds.

MARGAO: South Goa District Electoral Officer Swapnil Naik said that counting of the South District constituencies will take place in three rounds. The first round of counting will have 10 constituencies and the remaining constituencies will be taken up in subsequent rounds. 
He said that since Cortalim and Dabolim are the smallest constituencies they will be taken up for counting at the end of the 3rd round. “The counting of these two constituencies will be held along with Canacona constituency,” he said. 
VVPATs and EVMs have been stored at the strong room of Multipurpose Hall at Borda guarded by paramilitary forces. “On the day of counting guarding inside the building will be by paramilitary forces. Goa Police and the traffic section will form the outer perimeter of the counting venue,” Naik said. 
Meanwhile, as D-day approaches, candidates, workers, partymen have returned from their break and have started organizing the counting related tasks.
