An incident of a tree falling on a house and damaging it was reported from Sadolxem. The damages are in the region of Rs 25,000. According to Canacona Fire Services, a jungle tree came crashing down on the house of Agnelo Barretto, at Sadolxem, breaking roof tiles and other items, at about 11 on Sunday morning. Even though people were present in the house no one was hurt in the incident, though the family suffered damages of Rs 25,000, as the entire roof was damaged, informed fire services sources.
Fire Services personnel were again on their toes attending to two incidents of tree fall, blocking roads in Gaondongrim village during the day. A tree fell on the road near Government High School, Gaondongrim, while again fire personnel had to rush and clear another tree which fell on the internal road of another ward in Gaondongrim village.
