MORMUGAO, SEPT 12
A three-year-old girl drowned, after she accidentally fell into a water tank at Alto Dabolim, Vasco, on Sunday afternoon.
According to Verna Police, the incident occurred at about 2.30 pm when Roshni Arif Khan, who was playing along with other children, accidentally fell in a water tank and drowned.
Police further informed that Roshni’s father Arif, who is in the business of construction of cement grills, noticed the child in the water tank and rushed her to a hospital at Chicalim, where doctors declared the girl dead on admission. The body was sent to Hospicio in Margao for autopsy.
