CALANGUTE: Calangute Police on Tuesday arrested four persons from Calangute on charges of assaulting a woman from Sawatawada-Baga.
According to Calangute Police, Filomena Fernandes complained that accused Alden Fernandes, Alex Fernandes, Anthony Fernandes and Bernadeth Fernandes entered her shop at Baga with an iron rod and assaulted her.

The complainant further stated that the accused damaged the shop counter, abused her, flung bottles on her son and threatened her and her children.
Calangute Police arrested the accused and later released them on bail. Head Constable Datta Sawant is investigating the case.
