5 dead, 369 new COVID-19 cases

PANJIM: Goa witnessed another spike in COVID-19 cases as the State reported six more deaths along with 369 new positive cases on Saturday.

The death toll is now just two away from a century. 194 cases were declared recovered or cured as per DHS bulletin.

Amongst the five dead were a 65-year-old woman from Moti Dongor, admitted at Goa Medical College Bambolim, with co-morbid conditions who expired on Thursday, a 53-year-old woman also from Moti Dongor, admitted at GMC who expired on Friday. A 83-year-old woman from Fatorda, admitted at GMC, with co-morbid conditions expired on Saturday. A 79-year-old woman from Agassaim, with co-morbid conditions expired on Saturday and a 71-year-old woman from Baina, admitted at ESI COVID Hospital Margao, with co-morbid conditions expired on Saturday. 

Of 2528 samples, 1662 are negative, 369 are positive and 497 reports are awaited.

As per information, at least two Superintendents of Goa Police have tested positive for COVID-19.
