CALANGUTE: A 60-year-old two-wheeler rider was grievously injured after he was knocked down by speeding car on the border of Calangute-Arpora on Wednesday.
The locals shifted the injured person, Ankush Banaulikar, to GMC Hospital
in Bambolim in a critical
condition.
The car driver, who tried to make good his escape, was caught by the locals and thrashed before handing over to Calangute police.
Calangute police have registered an offence against the driver of the car (GA-03-P-7863). The scooter (GA-03-AA-8369) was also damaged in the road accident.
