PONDA: As many as 76 cattle heads were slaughtered at Goa Meat Complex, on the occasion of Bakri Eid, on Wednesday.
Meat Complex President Satyavijay Naik said that police maintained strict vigil at the facility to avoid any disturbance by cow vigilantes.
Section 144 will be in force till August 24.
The government has given approval for slaughtering animals at the facility for three days.
