As per information tabled on the floor of the House, the plots are located in the industrial estates of Bicholim, Cuncolim, Kakoda, Kundaim, Margao and Verna.
Industries Minister Mahadev Naik said that of the 80 plots, 30 have been issued show cause notices by the Corporation seeking reason why action should not to be taken in form of taking over the plot for non-utilization. “Following issue of show cause notice, 17 plots have been taken over till date,” the minister said. He was replying to a question tabled by Nuvem MLA Francisco Pacheco.
The minister said the taken over plots were not returned to the same lessee by the IDC.
