MAPUSA: A resident of Camurlim, Vasant Khorjuvekar, aged 84, died in an accident at Mapusa.
According to Mapusa police, the accident took place at 4pm on Thursday when the deceased person, was exiting from the main gate of Chandranath Apartment, which situated opposite to the Mapusa police station. He was on his motorbike and had entered the main road when he collided with an oncoming jeep. He was immediately shifted to the Mapusa district hospital and was then referred to Goa Medical College, Bambolim where he succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment.
