NAVELIM: Aam Aadmi Party convener Rahul Mhambre taking pity on the condition of Anganwadis in the Navelim constituency claimed that party’s successful model of managing Aanganwadis in Delhi would be replicated in Navelim if their candidate is elected.
“Our candidate Matilda has already promised to set up a waddo clinic in Navelim,” said Rahul in a party-held corner meeting in Navelim during the election campaign for Matilda D’Silva Zilla Panchayat elections in the constituency.
He mentioned how AAP has set up four free medical equipment distribution facilities in Benaulim constituency which are giving yeomen services to the people of the locality.
Mhambre severely criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress party and previous ZP member Edwin ‘Cipru’ Cardozo for totally neglecting the constituency. He even accused Cipru of concentrating only on personal gains.
“It is indeed ironical that Congress leader Luizinho Faleiro who besides being a MLA of the area for so long and since the last assembly elections has also not done any worthwhile work in the constituency under the lame excuse of being an opposition MLA,” said Mhambre.
He also said that the candidate BJP is fielding for the poll is not a serious candidate.
