VALPOI: Cases of accidents are on the rise at Chorla Ghat due to rash and irresponsible driving, especially during week-ends, when locals throng the area to seek the perfect monsoon picnic spot that Chorla has in abundance.
Locals complain of merry-makers driving at high speed and young bikers zooming unmindful of the dangerous bends, slippery condition and oncoming vehicles, and have requested the RTO to increase its presence here.
Tourism too has been growing at a steady pace in the region and the forest department Valpoi too has been getting a very good response.
