Admissions for Ayurveda, Medicine courses open

PANJIM: The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has invited applications from NEET 2020 qualified candidates to fill-up 15 per cent seats under all India quota for Ayurveda, Medicine and Homeopathic courses. 

As per DTE, Ministry of AYUSH, has notified that counseling for all India quota seats of private colleges will be conducted by Counseling Authority of the State government. 

Accordingly, applications are invited from NEET2020 qualified applicants for admissions to 15 per cent seats under All India Quota in Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine, and Surgery (BAMS) and Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) courses in private colleges in the State.  

There are total nine seats in BAMS course at Gomantak Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya and Research Centre, Shiroda and eight seats in BHMS course at Shri Kamaxidevi Homeopathy College and Hospital, Shiroda, under all India quota. 

Meanwhile, the DTE has scheduled ‘in person’ round of admissions to First Year of Engineering and Pharmacy Degree courses, for any available, vacant seats on Monday, November 30. 

DTE has clarified that no seats will be allotted online to candidates based on their earlier choices submitted or otherwise. 

“Therefore, all the candidates desirous of availing, available seats need to attend the round in person,” DTE said. The candidates are directed to follow all SOPs related to wearing of masks, sanitisation, social distancing, etc.
