After backlash, X moves to curb Grok AI’s ability to undress real people in images

Elon Musk’s AI model Grok will no longer be able to edit photos of real people to depict them in revealing clothing in jurisdictions where such activity is illegal, following widespread concern over sexualised AI deepfakes.

“We have implemented technological measures to prevent the Grok account from allowing the editing of images of real people in revealing clothing,” an announcement on X said.

The move comes amid growing scrutiny over the misuse of generative AI tools to create non-consensual and sexually explicit altered images.
