PANJIM: The All Goa Private Owners Association (AGPBOA) is willing to convert their buses from diesel to CNG provided the government allows to operate 15 years old buses having fitness certificate.
AGPBOA General Secretary Sudip Tamhankar said that at the request of Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, a delegation of private bus operators recently visited Nagpur and saw the working of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation buses which have been converted from diesel to CNG. Tamhankar requested the Union Minister to give some relaxation to private buses which were more than 15 years old provided they convert to CNG and hold valid fitness certificate.
