PANJIM: Ailing PWD Minister Ramkrishna, alias (Sudin) Dhavalikar and Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida made their presence felt, on Monday, in the ongoing Monsoon session of the Goa Legislative Assembly.
Dhavalikar was admitted to a Mumbai hospital earlier this month for a minor surgery and is still undergoing treatment.
The minister surprised everyone when he arrived at the Assembly with a waist belt. He however, refused to speak to waiting reporters.
KTC chairman Carlos Almeida, who underwent treatment for brain stroke, also made his presence felt in the Assembly.
Almeida thanked the people of Goa and the chief minister for his recovery saying it was due to their prayers he is back.
The duo were reportedly brought in the Assembly for voting as the BJP was short in numbers due to health issues of many legislators.
The coalition government is already short of numbers after health issues of Pandurang Madkaikar, Sudin Dhavalikar, Francis D’Souza and Carlos Almeida.
