Alina: Cansaulim PHC to operate 24×7 again

VASCO: The Cansaulim Primary Health Centre (PHC), which is presently operating from rented premises in Arossim, will again start providing round-the-clock casualty service, and all the hospital staff members required for such facilities will be called back, informed RDA Minister and Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha.

VASCO: The Cansaulim Primary Health Centre (PHC), which is presently operating from rented premises in Arossim, will again start providing round-the-clock casualty service, and all the hospital staff members required for such facilities will be called back, informed RDA Minister and Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha.
She was speaking to reporters after a meeting with health officials to discuss several issues of the CPHC on Monday.
During the meeting, it was decided that the PHC would again provide 24×7 casualty services, and for this purpose, the staff required would be called back. It has also been decided that, for the administration section of the PHC to function in an orderly manner, two rooms will be taken up by the PHC on rental basis in its close vicinity.
“The Director and Deputy Director, along with the PHC doctors, inspected the rooms recently. The Director has given his approval and has instructed the Health Officer to do the needful. Also, the Director has approved 108 ambulance facilities, which will be stationed at Cansaulim to take care of emergency cases in the constituency,” said Alina.
Meanwhile, it was also informed at the meeting that the work at the PHC site was going on at fast pace and nearly 80 percent of the excavation work was completed, and soon the structural work would start so that the PHC work would be completed soon.
Dr Sanjeev Dalvi, Director of Health Services; Dr Jose D’Sa, Deputy Director of Public Health; Dr Vijaya Harlankar, CPHC Health Officer; and Dr Gwen Saldanha, CPHC doctor attended the meeting.
