Praises style and functioning of chief minister

CANACONA: Canacona MLA and Deputy Speaker Isidore Fernandes praised the style and functioning of Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and assured that all the potholes in Canacona taluka will be repaired soon.
Fernandes while speaking to the press, heaped praise over the acumen and statesmanship of the chief minster and said that despite the problems faced by the State, he was doing a wonderful job.

“Replacing the water conveying pipeline from Chapolim water reservoir to the water treatment plant at Sristhal was a priority for me as well as for the residents of Canacona, and I had told all that we will have to bear the bad roads for some time,” said Fernandes.
Coming down heavily on the act of some activist from Canacona taking the supervisor of the water pipeline laying contractor and the PWD, Highway staff in an ambulance to experience the pain and agony the patients go through while being shifted to Hospicio hospital, Fernandes said that it was not needed and the activist should have petitioned him before undertaking such an act.

Speaking about a junior physician from Canacona health center who is terminated from services over a complain for  private practice when she was posted at Hospicio 11 years back, Fernandes said that the doctor is good to the patients and he along with power minister Nilesh Cabral have appraised the chief minister of her good conduct towards poor and old patients during the last four years of her posting in Canacona.
“Chief Minister has promised me and Cabral that he will ask for the file of the concerned doctor and see what could be done,” he Fernandes said.
Coming down heavily on the complains from public over non or low performance of government staff in Canacona, Fernandes said that from next week he will personally keep a watchful eye on the government staff including teachers of aided and government schools.
