MARGAO: The confusion among residents of Ambaji and around the areas of Fatorda stadium was cleared by the Margao town police inspector by promising to post police at the entry and exit points of vehicle at the cordoned off areas.
A solution of providing permanent passes to residents was also agreed to by the people and authorities.
People from the stadium and surrounding areas, who complained of no provision of passes or intimation for the access to their houses on match day, were provided with the temporary residents passes.
“This time there was no intimation from the ISL regarding the arrangements and we will make sure the problem doesn’t arise next time,” said Police Inspector C.L Patil who promised to allow the residents inside for this match on producing ID cards.
