The budget for next financial year was approved while the panchayat secretary also presented the audit report.
The sarpanch informed the gram sabha on proposed development works the village Panchayat would take up which include construction of two roads, one at Assolna-Ambelim village border and the other in ward No 5 for the benefit of villagers.
The gram sabha witnessed uproar over the demand of the villagers to clean the drains before the onset of monsoon with allegations that drains have remained without being cleaned for years though bills for work to have been prepared and paid.
The issue of renting of premises to migrants also was discussed and resolution was taken that the village panchayat collect one month’s rent from the landlords.
A resolution was also adopted to ask all the villagers having their compound main gate opening towards the road should be stopped and all compound gates along the main road should open inner side.
