Amone duo booked for assault

CANACONA: A case has been registered by Canacona police against two Amone residents for assaulting a resident of Fulamol on Saturday afternoon.

CANACONA: A case has been registered by Canacona police against two Amone residents for assaulting a resident of Fulamol on Saturday afternoon.
A case under various sections of IPC has been registered against D Daikar and P Daikar both residents of Amone, Poinguinim for wrongful restraint, voluntarily causing hurt, mischief, causing damage to currency notes,  unlawful assembly and rioting.
In his complaint Sau Bavdan mentioned that the two accused assaulted Vithu Bavdan, a resident of Fulamoll in Gaondogrem village on Saturday evening, when he was on the way to his relative’s house at Dabel, near Hathipaul forest check post and was assaulted again when the victim reached Amone. His two-wheeler too was damaged, besides his gold chain and wallet were missing.
Later, in the evening the victim was rushed to Canacona Health Centre by his relatives from where he was transferred to Hospicio hospital, Margao.
Canacona police have started investigation in the matter and are awaiting medical report of the victim from the hospital.
