Days after the arrest of a suspect from Karnataka at Mandopa-Navelim, it was the turn of the residents of Colmorod-Navelim to take head-on a suspect moving suspiciously at around 2 am on Saturday near the Sitara motors.
Margao police said a three member gang was on the prowl in the residential locality when the alert residents decided to take them head-on. While two of the suspects made good their escape under the cover of darkness, the irate residents hunted down the third suspect and handed him over to the police after a sound thrashing.
Not taking chances and after finding the suspect badly injured, the Margao police admitted the suspect at Hospicio hospital.
