PERNEM: Aam Admi Party (AAP) protested to highlight the dismal condition of NH 66 as well as service roads in Pernem. The AAP have now threatened to protest if the potholes are not repaired by Ganesh.
AAP leader Prasad Shahapurkar gathered near Malpe petrol pump and threatened to block the road if the repair of road is not taken up.
However before they could block the road, the engineer of MVR Company as well as the highway contractor reached the spot and began the work of filling up of potholes with concrete.
“The local MLA has failed to provide good service to the people of Pernem. Thousands of people commute on this road on every day basis however, due to low standard work carried out, the roads are in pathetic condition especially the service road,” he said.
