Nearly 30 to 40 youth of Aquem-Baixo led by panch member Siddesh Bhagat gathered at the Rawandfond and agitated against the PWD. They expressed anger over the pathetic condition of Rawanfond to Mandopa road in the jurisdiction of the Village Panchayat of Aquem-Baixo.

Speaking to the media persons, Bhagat said, “This is a wake-up call for the PWD Minister and MLA, either find a solution or sit at home. Today we made paper boats and sailed in the potholes. Requesting government take a call on this before it is too late.”

He further said, “The road leading from Rawandfond to Mandopa is really in a very bad condition, and now during the monsoon, it has become difficult and risky to travel. There are a number of dangerous potholes on the road. Senior citizens, pregnant women, etc are really facing tough times while travelling on this road.”

“Last it was Sewerage Department which worked on this road because of which tarring of the road was delayed and now it’s the duty of same Sewerage Department to maintain the road seeing that the villagers and others are not troubled because of this road and the Sewerage Department and PWD completely failing. Officials will be responsible for any bad incident happen on this road,” he stated.
