MARGAO: Colva Police last night arrested 25-year-old Diganta Kalita from Assam for prostitution and rescued a 29 year old girl from Gujarat who was forced into the flesh trade.
Diganta who was residing at Pequeno Ward in Colva arrived with the girl yesterday evening at the Colva parking lot near the beach to hand over the girl to the customer who was a decoy.
Police swooped on him and while the victim girl was sent to Apna Ghar Diganta was produced before the court today where he was remanded to four days police custody.
