PANJIM: The Goa Assembly on Friday passed The Goa Appropriation (Vote on Account) Bill, 2021, authorising the government to withdraw Rs 4,176.44 crore from the consolidated fund of the State towards defraying several charges for two months of the financial year 2021-2022.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, who introduced the Bill, said that monies are required to meet the expenditure charged on Consolidated Fund of the State and the grants made in advance by the Goa Legislative Assembly in respect of the estimated expenditure of the government for the first two months of the new fiscal year.
Earlier, the House passed the supplementary demands for grants for the financial year 2020-2021 for additional expenditure of over Rs 29.37 crore related to revenue account.
