Chief Minister unveils redevelopment plan during Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar’s birthday event and distributes housing sanction letters to beneficiaries.
Residents of the Baina Housing Board colony are set to benefit from a major redevelopment initiative, with Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant announcing that the existing residential buildings will be demolished and replaced with modern housing blocks.
The announcement was made during a programme held at Sada to mark the birthday of Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said all existing residents of the Housing Board colony would be provided brand-new flats free of cost as part of the redevelopment project.
The initiative aims to replace the ageing Housing Board structures with new residential buildings, offering improved living conditions and modern amenities to residents.
During the event, Dr Sawant also distributed housing sanction letters to eligible beneficiaries, reaffirming the government’s commitment to expanding access to quality housing and improving residential infrastructure across the State.
The redevelopment of the Baina Housing Board is expected to significantly enhance housing facilities for residents while contributing to the overall urban development of the area.
