Balli PHC gets ambulance under MPLAD scheme

CUNCOLIM: The Balli Primary Health Centre, which is in dire need of infrastructure augmentation, received a new ambulance on Saturday. The ambulance, given under the MPLAD scheme, was presented to the PHC by South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar.

After a review meeting on the condition of the ambulance, Naik said he had asked the government to appoint specialist doctors and servants at the Balli PHC. He assured locals that the upgrading of the PHC Balli would be done in phases.
On the occasion, MP Sawaikar said he had sponsored 13 ambulances for the Health Department to provide better services to people from rural areas. He also said that the BJP governments at State and Centre were fully focused on the upliftment of underprivileged society.
Assuring help for the development of Cuncolim constituency, he informed that the local MLA had proposed a project to develop the Nayaband Lake, which he assured to sanction with MP funds.
