Bamanbudu Waterfall in Gaodongari Draws Tourists, Poor Maintenance Raises Safety and Cleanliness Concerns

The recent spell of monsoon rain has revived the picturesque Bamanbudu Waterfall at Gaodongari, attracting a large number of tourists eager to enjoy the natural attraction. Visitors have been flocking to the site to take in the scenic beauty and bathe under the cascading waterfall.

However, the growing tourist footfall has once again highlighted the poor maintenance of the popular destination, with visitors raising concerns over inadequate facilities, sanitation and safety.

At present, the site has only one changing room and a single dustbin to cater to tourists. The dustbin is reportedly overflowing with waste that appears to have remained uncleared for months, while the changing room, damaged last year, has yet to be repaired.

Litter is scattered across the area, indicating a lack of regular cleaning and proper waste management despite the influx of visitors during the monsoon season.

Tourists have also expressed concern over the absence of security personnel at the waterfall, saying that the lack of supervision could pose safety risks, especially as the number of visitors continues to increase.

Locals and visitors have urged the concerned authorities to improve maintenance, ensure regular garbage collection, repair damaged infrastructure and deploy security staff to provide a cleaner and safer experience for tourists visiting the popular monsoon destination.
