Goa Property Fraud: Saligao Police Register FIR in ₹30 Lakh Land Deal Scam

The Saligao Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) in connection with an alleged ₹30 lakh property fraud after a resident of Sangolda accused a person of cheating him in a land transaction.

According to the complaint, the accused allegedly misrepresented a property located in Pilgao as being free from encumbrances, despite it reportedly being mortgaged and involved in an ongoing legal dispute.

The complainant further alleged that after accepting a token amount of ₹30 lakh, the accused neither executed the sale deed nor refunded the money, resulting in financial loss.

Based on the complaint, Saligao Police have registered an FIR and initiated an investigation into the alleged property fraud to ascertain the facts and take appropriate legal action.
