Goa Govt Agrees to Relocate Shivaji Statue From Mormugao Port Authority Land

The Goa government has informed the High Court that it is, in principle, agreeable to relocating the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, which was allegedly installed unlawfully on Mormugao Port Authority property at Sada.

The government told the court that the process of identifying suitable government land for relocating the statue is underway. Two to three potential sites have been identified, but no final decision has been taken so far.
