PONDA: Bandora locals have threatened to agitate against Sanathan Sanstha in the village after accusing the association of harassing locals.
Speaking to media persons at Ponda police station in the presence of locals, Saurab Lotlikar, son of Bandora panch Sharmila, said: “Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar will give us justice in the matter. In our memorandum we have demanded that the ashram be shifted away from Ramnathi. There is a high political connection with the Sanathan Sanstha,” stated Saurab.
He denied that locals were involved in any petrol bomb attack on the Sanathan ashram. He said they will also submit a memorandum to Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar.
The locals, who had gathered at Ponda police station, warned the Sanathan Sanstha Ashram not to interfere in their activities and if they did not stop harassment and their false complaints against the locals, then Bandora citizens along with people from of four constituencies of Ponda will stage a huge rally in protest against the ashram.
However, managing trustee of Santhan Sanstha Virendra Marathe has refuted the allegations of Bandora panch Sharmila Lotlikar that he threatened and abused her.
“Some anti-social people in Bandora are frustrated, as Sanathan Sanstha is demanding action against petrol bomb attack on Sanathan and for manhandling Sanatan activist,” stated Marathe.
