Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch (BBSM) sought the national leader’s intervention in resolving the contentious Medium of Instruction (MoI) issue.
As part of their protest, BBSM supporters also waved black flags at Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar, while they were making their way to attend the BJP karyakarta meeting in Taleigao. BBSM supporters also shouted slogans against the government.
“We demand the intervention of the central BJP leaders to resolve the MoI issue,” Veingkar told media persons. “The leaders here only follow the orders of Manohar Parrikar,” he added.
The BBSM leader said that for the past one year the BJP government has failed to provide a solution to the issue. “No BJP leaders have attended our meeting on the issue. Whereas their alliance partner MGP is in support of our demand,” he claimed.
