Attended by prominent administrators, cricket leaders, and state representatives, the session is set to deliberate on crucial administrative, financial, and governance matters shaping the immediate future of Indian cricket.
Prominent figures seen arriving at the headquarters include BCCI President Mithun Manhas, Vice-President Rajeev Shukla, Board Secretary Devajit Saikia, former BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, along with administrators Saurabh Tiwari and Abhishek Dalmiya. Their presence highlights the significant governance shifts and strategic priorities currently facing the board.

A primary item on the agenda is the appointment of a new chief for the senior men’s selection committee. Additionally, the AGM will discuss and decide on India’s official representative to the International Cricket Council (ICC), a key role for maintaining the nation’s influence in global cricket affairs.
Financial matters also form a core part of the proceedings. The general body is reviewing and adopting the BCCI’s audited accounts for the 2025–26 financial year while formalizing the annual budget for 2026–27. The appointment of the board’s official auditor for the upcoming fiscal period will also be finalized during these administrative discussions.
On the cricketing front, the assembly follows the recent announcement of India’s squad for the upcoming multi-format white-ball home series against the West Indies. With those preparations completed, attention is shifting toward structuring the upcoming tours. The selection panel’s immediate priority after the AGM will be finalizing both the main national team and the India ‘A’ rosters for the tour of New Zealand, scheduled for October and November.
