PANJIM: Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao along with skill development director and South nodal officer Dipak Desai, deputy collector-II John Fernandes and Dr Socorro Quadros from primary health centra (PHC), Cansaulim on Tuesday inspected the COVID-19 centre at Colva.
The COVID care Centre at Colva has finally got doctors and nurses sanctioned for the same by the Directorate of Health Services, which was the most important thing to be done.
It will be a 28-bedded centre to start with and if need arises more beds will be added, informed Churchill.
Others present during the inspection were Salcete incident commander Brijesh Manelkar and Disaster Management Authority chairperson Ruchika Katyal, Colva panchayat member Pio Furtado and Valanka Alemao, who finalised the ground work.
