MARGAO: Pramila Parwar, the witness in the Surendra Betkikar murder case was cross examined at hearing in the Sessions Court on Monday.
Public Prosecutor Subhash Dessai cross examined Pramila. In her statement to the police, the mother-in-law of Surendra had claimed that her son-in-law was assaulted. However, she denied the fact in court claiming that he was an alcoholic.
The then Verna police inspector Shailesh Narvenkar had arrested Sandesh alias Soni Satarkar and Viraj Mazgaonkar from Mount Mary, Verna. Surendra’s wife had filed the police complaint in this matter.
