SANGUEM: The Bhati gram sabha, held last week, unanimously decided to write to the chief minister and also to the South Goa Collector to resolve the long pending demand of the Selaulim evacuees of giving them the exclusive ownership rights as Class I occupants of the agricultural and housing plots allocated to them.
At the gram sabha, panch Manoj Paryekar through a special resolution urged for getting the plot owners’ names entered in the occupant column based on the sanad and the order issued by the Collector at the time of rehabilitation.
Paryekar informed that the government has all the documentary evidence of the plots allocated to the evacuees and expressed the need for inclusion of names in the survey records based on the documents available in the offices of Collector and WRD. The resolution was seconded by Peter Crasto and was passed unanimously.
Paryekar also pointed out that the government shall also include the names of the legal heirs in the survey records in cases where the original allottee is died.
Besides, Paryekar also expressed the need for partitioning of the individual plots allocated to the beneficiaries based on the plans originally prepared by the office of the WRD.
Rather than making the beneficiaries follow lengthy process, the Collector could have partitioned the individual plots by superimposing the sub divided plan.
on the original plan.
At the meeting, Paryekar also sought immediate action from the office of the Chief Minister and the Collector for getting the houses, temple, churches and other important places marked on RP 2021.
Paryekar claimed that RP 2021 does not reflect the prevailing scenario of the village as it does not show the people’s houses, temples, Chapel and other important places. There is need for marking these places on RP 2021, claimed Paryekar.
