PONDA: After High Court of Bombay at Goa dismissed the appeals of Mangueshi Priest Dhanjay Bhave, Ponda police launched an operation to arrest the accused but could trace him.
Ponda PI Harish Madcaikar said that immediately after the first FIR was lodged, police had issued him notice directing him to be present before police for questioning in connection with molestation charges filed against him by Mumbai and US based girls.
Madcaikar said that the notices could not be served at his known address, hence, police have issued “Look out Notice” for him. “Police are trying to arrest him to speed up the interrogations in two molestation cases against him,” he said.
It is pertinent that when the anticipatory applications were dismissed by Judge Naik, the investigating officer was on leave hence lost the opportunity to arrest the priest, as the applicants mandatorily have to be present in court to hear the order.
