PANJIM: The Bicholim Police have booked Purwa Pednekar, a resident of Barazan Nagar, for allegedly stealing gold ornaments worth approximately Rs 10 lakh.
According to the police, Pooja Fadte Gaonkar, resident of Shantaramnagar, Bordem-Bicholim, lodged a complaint stating that the accused stole gold ornaments which included two mangalsutras, two ‘ghots’, ten bangles, two pairs of ‘todo’, ‘patli’, ‘pichori’, a necklace and one earring.

The incident occurred on April 1, 2024. An offence under Sections 454 and 380 of the IPC has been registered.
The case is being investigated by PSI V Hadfadkar.
