MARGAO: Carlo Santan Da Silva, the JMFC at Margao, held accused Bhudua Khadiya, a native of Bihar, guilty of attempting to commit theft and sentenced him for 3 years simple imprisonment and to pay fine of Rs 10,000.
The incident had occurred on October 9, 2013, at Pereirawado, Utorda. Bhudua at around 2 pm broke the lock of the main door and attempted to commit theft in the ancestral house of Father Lourdinho Pereira. The neighbours apprehended the accused red-handed, when he, on entering the house, disconnected and shifted the TV and VCD from the shelf to the sofa in order to take them away.
