Bike theft accused remanded

MARGAO: The three persons who were arrested for stealing two-wheelers were remanded in judicial custody for 14 days on Friday by a Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao.

MARGAO: The three persons who were arrested for stealing two-wheelers were remanded in judicial custody for 14 days on Friday by a Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao.
The accused were arrested by the Maharashtra Police and were brought to Goa on a transfer warrant as one of the motorcycles recovered from them was stolen from Margao.
The accused are identified as Satish Bhatunge (20), Pradeep Bhagde (24) and Akash Bhagde (21) all residents of Kolhapur. They were nabbed by the Kolhapur police and 17 vehicles were recovered from them including a two-wheeler that was stolen from Margao.
On the intervening night of November 27 and 28, a Splendor motorcycle was stolen from Azad Nagar at Calcondem and police were informed about it. The police sent information about the stolen motorcycle to their counterparts in the neighbouring States too.
Kolhapur police on identifying the motorcycle found in the possession of the trio informed the Margao police who then went to Kolhapur and brought the three accused to Goa on a transfer warrant.
